Indonesia Bertutur 2024 or “INTUR” is an annual arts festival that took place between August 7-18, 2024 across five locations in Ubud and Lapangan Chandra Muka Batubulan. The festival brings together many incredible artists from Indonesia and the greater Southeast Asian region into one week of exhibitions, dance performances, talks, movie screenings and more. I learned how this year’s theme is "Subak: Harmony with the Creator, Nature and Fellow Humans”. Subak refers to an Indonesian system of irrigration and rice terraces, and is at the heart of the Balinese landscape and economy. In fact, this system of Subak is recognized as a UNESCO world heritage.

Cyber Subin was invited as to perform at this festival on August 15th. What set this performance apart was the extremely large stage compared to the premiere in March at the Taiwan International Festival for the Arts. This time, audience members could come up onto the stage and participate in trying to dance the movements generated by the algorithm. What an experience!
