Doubao is an AI Agent developed by ByteDance with 60 million monthly active users as of late 2024. For readers unfamiliar with the Chinese tech ecosystem, it is essentially China’s ChatGPT. Doubao has one of the lowest cost-per-token in the LLM industry at RMB 0.003 RMB per 1000 tokens (e.g. ByteDance Doubao USD 0.00041 per 1,000 tokens vs OpenAI ChatGPT USD 0.03 per 1000 tokens).
