November, 2025Event WebsiteAbout Manus In March 2025, a group of artists were selected to join German Digital Artist Kim Asendorf for a weeklong workshop on Digital Art hosted by the Goethe Institut Thailand. This past November 2025, we presented some of our works inspired this session in a weeklong exhibition at the Goethe Institute. A huge thank you to the Goethe team for giving us this space for experimentation and community building!

´re:complex´ is the exhibition that reflects on the creative residue emerging from a shared process among eight artists who participated in the Code-based Digital Art workshop led by Kim Asendorf, which was organised along with Asendorf´s first retrospective ´Complex´ in March 2025.

This exhibition features work by 8 artists: KIMBAB:), Nivedita Johri, Patt Vira, Rogerger NG, Theerawat Klangjareonchai, Wasawat Somno, Wuttin Chansataboot, and ญาบอยฮานอย yaboihanoi

They will capture ideas, systems, and signals encountered during a workshop - then refract, reinterpret, and transform them into new artistic practices shaped by collaboration, code, and conversation.

ManusArtist Statement: 
Our experience of dance and music is fleeting. Once motion and melody is performed in space, it cannot be experienced the same way, for both artist and audience. Technology and media are opportunities to defy the forward motion of time and zoom into the micro-choreographies that sometimes escape human perception; reframing how we experience, forget and remember movement and sound.

เมื่อทำนองของเสียงเพลงและการเคลื่อนไหวของการฟ้อนรำ ถูกแสดงออกไปแล้ว ทั้งศิลปินและผู้ชมก็ไม่สามารถกลับไปสัมผัสมันอย่างเดิมได้ เทคโนโลยีเเละสื่อคือโอกาสหยุดยั้งเวลา ให้เราได้สังเกตรายละเอียดเล็กๆ ในเสียงเเละท่าเต้นท่ารำ ที่ปกติอาจหลุดจากการรับรู้ในขณะนั้น เชิญชวนให้เราจัดวางขึ้นใหม่ การสัมผัส การจำได้ เเละการเลือนลืม ของเสียงเพลงเเละการรำ


Artwork Description Concept / Idea: 
Thai Dance. Music. Resynthesized. Reimagined.

Inspiration / Context:
An audio-visual segment taken from an hour-long mixed-media electronic music liveset by ญาบอยฮานอย yaboihanoi that is currently on tour. It has been re-made to loop and fit the space, environment and soundscape of the Goethe-Institut Thailand.
